Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valeriu Buzatu kicked off to start the match. Lyones's Vlad Ţeica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Tofan in the 5th minute of play. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ivan Tofan sped through Lyones's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vlad Ţeica. When Nicolae Stroescu fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyones's protests and gave Nicolae Stroescu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lyones's Nicolae Stroescu got a free kick in the 11th minute. The supporters of REAL18GALATI booed when Lyones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcu Geangu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valeriu Buzatu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valeriu Buzatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Negrescu in the 24th minute of play forced REAL18GALATI's goalkeeper Codruț Comănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Moise Negrescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lyones fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Negrescu in the 30th minute of play forced REAL18GALATI's goalkeeper Codruț Comănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Valeriu Buzatu managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL18GALATI's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Buzatu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlad Ţeica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Ivan Tofan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Lyones's Vlad Ţeica. Vlad Ţeica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 44 minutes, Ivan Tofan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REAL18GALATI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Tofan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half REAL18GALATI were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moise Negrescu made a kick off. Lyones's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Valeriu Buzatu scored to the left of an out of position Vlad Ţeica, making the score, 1-4. Marcu Geangu got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 58th minute, one of Lyones:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lyones. After 63 played minutes REAL18GALATI got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Chirnoagă. After 64 played minutes, Lyones's Adam Ionete shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Codruț Comănescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lyones reached it. REAL18GALATI's Ivan Tofan got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th match minute, Lyones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Robu to maneuver through the defense. When REAL18GALATI's Ivan Tofan in 71 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vlad Ţeica guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Ivan Tofan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vlad Ţeica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vlad Ţeica made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ivan Tofan sent off a good shot on target. Valeriu Buzatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Ivan Tofan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vlad Ţeica was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. Valeriu Buzatu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Ţeica having to interfere. When Valeriu Buzatu came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the REAL18GALATI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Buzatu couldn't finish the play.
