Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Viitorul Vaslui's Moise Luican started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viitorul Vaslui's Niculae Lupulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Viitorul Vaslui from getting a goal against them. Moise Luican sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nechifor Ferenț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Luican in the 6th minute of play. Moise Luican might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nechifor Ferenț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Luican ran back to his position shaking his head. Cichirdicu's Nechifor Ferenț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Brezeanu in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cichirdicu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aron Epure was slow to take the kick. During this time Viitorul Vaslui's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Viitorul Vaslui's corner Aron Epure fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nechifor Ferenț quite easily take care of the ball. Denis Căliman struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Nechifor Ferenț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viitorul Vaslui. 20 minutes into the match, Cichirdicu's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Brezeanu came free, but Nechifor Ferenț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cichirdicu defense, Marcu Brezeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nechifor Ferenț. The Cichirdicu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nechifor Ferenț should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cichirdicu booed when Viitorul Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcu Brezeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucrețiu Macarie struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Niculae Lupulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cichirdicu. 41 minutes into the match, Marcu Brezeanu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cichirdicu's Nechifor Ferenț. Nechifor Ferenț was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Brezeanu in the 46th minute of play forced Cichirdicu's goalkeeper Nechifor Ferenț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucrețiu Macarie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dragoş Tolea kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 played minutes Cichirdicu got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Tolea. Lucrețiu Macarie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Lupulescu having to interfere. Lucrețiu Macarie took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niculae Lupulescu. Niculae Lupulescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Nechifor Ferenț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Teişanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Căliman in the 65th minute of play forced Cichirdicu's goalkeeper Nechifor Ferenț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Lucrețiu Macarie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niculae Lupulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When Lucrețiu Macarie fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cichirdicu's protests and gave Lucrețiu Macarie a yellow card for diving instead. Lucrețiu Macarie hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Moise Luican recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dragoş Tolea fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cichirdicu's protests and gave Dragoş Tolea a yellow card for diving instead. Dragoş Tolea kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Viitorul Vaslui could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cichirdicu throughout the match.
