FC Boteni's Costel Murgu came free and shot a quick shot against goal 17 minutes in the game, fortunately Gelu Mustață had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Tomoiu got free with Gelu Mustață in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Costel Murgu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gelu Mustață was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Dan Dogaru was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.

The wind increased when Costel Murgu made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Baiesa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Murgu came free, but Gelu Mustață reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Costel Murgu came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the FC Boteni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costel Murgu couldn't finish the play.
