Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Costel Murgu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ivan Macavei's late challenge caught a Sibiu FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Macavei helped the player get up and apologised. Ivan Macavei kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Boteni's zone, Ionuț Lăzăroiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Răzvan Muntian came out of the goal and Ionuț Lăzăroiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Răzvan Muntian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionuț Lăzăroiu in the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costel Murgu during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Boteni getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Costel Murgu hit a great ball. Răzvan Muntian was a little too slow when Ionuț Lăzăroiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Gabriel Tomoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ioan Papaiani came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Boteni's Ivan Macavei. But to his dismay, Ivan Macavei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Răzvan Muntian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Lăzăroiu in the 28th minute of play. Dumitru Angelescu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ivan Macavei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ioan Papaiani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 38th minute, Sibiu FCM's Elano Amorim seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elano Amorim the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sibiu FCM protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elano Amorim had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 37 minutes into the game, one of Sibiu FCM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The wind increased when Alexandru Onișoru made the kick off in the second half. Ioan Papaiani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Macavei in the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sibiu FCM's goalkeeper Ioan Papaiani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Boteni's Răzvan Muntian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Onișoru in the 60th minute of play. When Iosif Vâlceanu fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Boteni's protests and gave Iosif Vâlceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, FC Boteni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iosif Vâlceanu to maneuver through the defense. Iosif Vâlceanu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Ivan Macavei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Papaiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, FC Boteni's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Onișoru came free, but Răzvan Muntian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Alexandru Onișoru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Răzvan Muntian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alexandru Onișoru came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Sibiu FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandru Onișoru couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Alexandru Onișoru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Răzvan Muntian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Alexandru Onișoru came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sibiu FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandru Onișoru couldn't finish the play. When Costel Murgu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 98th minute, Costel Murgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sibiu FCM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
