When Gelu Ifrim fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dobrosesti CSS's protests and gave Gelu Ifrim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Gelu Ifrim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihnea Teleagă hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Iustinian Florean was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dobrosesti CSS's Mădălin Martinaș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Caramitru in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Oloieru in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mădălin Martinaș saved Dobrosesti CSS from getting behind. George Oloieru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Potingeni's Martin Stârcea pulled a muscle in his leg after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 13 minutes, Iustinian Hârtopanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dobrosesti CSS and the Potingeni players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Eliodor Bejgăneanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valeriu Caramitru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mădălin Martinaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Dobrosesti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Chircu came free, but Mădălin Martinaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valeriu Caramitru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, one of Dobrosesti CSS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dobrosesti CSS. Valeriu Caramitru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeriu Caramitru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrei Ifrim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, George Oloieru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A hard shot 68 in the game by George Oloieru from a close distance when the talented Mădălin Martinaș managed to make a qualified save. Dobrosesti CSS's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Oloieru got free with Mădălin Martinaș in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valeriu Caramitru took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mădălin Martinaș. Mădălin Martinaș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Potingeni's George Oloieru got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Dobrosesti CSS booed when Potingeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Raţiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidiu Mirciulescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. Ivan Chiriloaie went to the wrong direction when Basarab Nenițescu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Potingeni's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Ifrim came free, but Ivan Chiriloaie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Manole Raţiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mădălin Martinaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Ifrim in the 91st minute of play forced Potingeni's goalkeeper Ivan Chiriloaie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebiu Chircu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mădălin Martinaș having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Potingeni left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dobrosesti CSS.
