If Silviu Șerbulea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute, Dan Milcoveanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Silviu Șerbulea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silviu Șerbulea got free with Florin Pavalescu in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Silişteanu's late challenge caught a Sarosu CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
