But to his dismay, Mugurel Stroescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 77 minutes into the match, Potingeni's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Carabulea came free, but Ivan Chiriloaie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mücahit Özbey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valeriu Caramitru in the 80th minute. Cristian Carabulea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ivan Chiriloaie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Potingeni's goalkeeper Ivan Chiriloaie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Potingeni's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
