Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amauri Paes started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 3 in the game by Emilian Mărculescu from a close distance when the talented Eugen Apostolescu managed to make a qualified save. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's players were relieved. In the 4th minute, Emilian Costache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Mărculescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eugen Apostolescu could save by the left post. Moise Axinia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Apostolescu having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match, Emilian Mărculescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eugen Apostolescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 13 played minutes F.C Rapid Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Pontes. Emanuel Piersic took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eugen Apostolescu. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Eugen Apostolescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save F.C Rapid Bucuresti from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moise Axinia got free with Eugen Apostolescu in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Eugen Apostolescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Petrin in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Emilian Costache got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Rahau's Iordache Petrin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugen Apostolescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Amauri Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Berechet having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Amauri Paes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iosif Berechet was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Amauri Paes sped through Rahau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iosif Berechet. In the 41st minute Gigi Răţescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Berechet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Eugen Apostolescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save F.C Rapid Bucuresti from getting a goal against them. After 45 minutes, Gigi Răţescu made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rahau's Iosif Berechet tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Rahau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Florei to maneuver through the defense. Iosif Berechet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, F.C Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Costache to maneuver through the defense. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Iurie Peter was substituted for Amauri Paes. When Vali Bădulescu fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rahau's protests and gave Vali Bădulescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Rahau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vali Bădulescu to maneuver through the defense. Iosif Berechet was a little too slow when Iurie Peter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-4. After having played for 72 minutes, Emilian Costache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Costache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigi Răţescus short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Iosif Berechet to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Iurie Peter took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Iosif Berechet to make any attempt to save it. Moise Axinia's late challenge caught a F.C Rapid Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moise Axinia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Rahau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Axinia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rahau's zone, Iurie Peter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iosif Berechet came out of the goal and Iurie Peter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th play minute Cătălin Encea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Iosif Berechet. 1-6. Iurie Peter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iosif Berechet having to make a save. F.C Rapid Bucuresti played a much better game than Rahau and deserved their victory. The Rahau players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
