Costel Alexa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dacian Pancu went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 8 minutes into the match, FC Efervescent's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Paes came free, but Costel Alexa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match F.C Rapid Bucuresti got a corner. FC Efervescent's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Călin Stolojan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on F.C Rapid Bucuresti's corner Călin Stolojan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Costel Alexa quite easily take care of the ball. Costel Alexa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Paes in the 15th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes F.C Rapid Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Costache. Costel Alexa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Călin Stolojan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Costel Alexa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 30 minutes into the match, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Macrea came free, but Eugen Apostolescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Amauri Paes took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Costel Alexa to make any attempt to save it. FC Efervescent's Cristian Macrea got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 minutes of play, FC Efervescent's Eliodor Arșanu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Apostolescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Costel Alexa came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Emilian Costache. But to his dismay, Emilian Costache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

59 minutes into the match, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Eugen Apostolescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliodor Arșanu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliodor Arșanu got free with Eugen Apostolescu in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliodor Arșanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Eugen Apostolescu made a huge save. A collision led to F.C Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Emilian Costache hit a great ball. F.C Rapid Bucuresti made a substitution. Iurie Peter replaced Amauri Paes. With a little luck, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Eugen Apostolescu got control of the ball when Eliodor Arșanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Peter in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Efervescent's goalkeeper Costel Alexa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Iurie Peter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Gildo Pontes in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Efervescent's Isac Fetanu. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Iurie Peter got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Encea in the 87th minute of play forced FC Efervescent's goalkeeper Costel Alexa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costel Alexa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Pancu in the 88th minute of the match. Eliodor Arșanus short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Eugen Apostolescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Emilian Costache got a free kick in the 94th minute. A collision led to FC Efervescent getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Flavius Trăilă hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
