Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Narcis Cornea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Ionică Firu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codruț Cristoloveanu was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Teascu's Codruț Cristoloveanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Teascu from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, F. C. Sânpetru Brașov's Petre Budișteanu got a free kick in the 31st minute. Iacob Groza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Cristoloveanu having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Manuel Bologa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionică Firu scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Codruț Cristoloveanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ionică Firu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Paul Ciorănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Budișteanu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Gruia got free with Flavius Isaia in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ionică Firu might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Codruț Cristoloveanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionică Firu ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Cristoloveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Firu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iacob Groza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Codruț Cristoloveanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Codruț Cristoloveanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iacob Groza went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 85th match minute, F. C. Sânpetru Brașov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Mușetescu to maneuver through the defense. Iacob Groza might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Codruț Cristoloveanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iacob Groza ran back to his position shaking his head. Iacob Groza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ionică Firu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavius Isaia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Cornea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Narcis Cornea notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of F. C. Sânpetru Brașov's Flavius Isaia. Flavius Isaia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that F. C. Sânpetru Brașov were the better team. F. C. Sânpetru Brașov's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
