The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Vargyas UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Voineag to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Pogba in the 7th minute of play forced Vargyas UFC's goalkeeper Teodor Lechințan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Paul Pogba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Lechințan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Pogba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Teodor Lechințan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Cazimir Gaciu could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Paul Stafie however easily saved by the left post. When Bálint Rigó came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pietrestii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bálint Rigó couldn't finish the play. When Pietrestii's Bálint Rigó in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vargyas UFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 23rd minute, Cazimir Gaciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Stafie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Voineag in the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Cazimir Gaciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vargyas UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pietrestii the free kick. The supporters of Pietrestii booed when Vargyas UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Gaciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul Pogba to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bálint Rigó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Cazimir Gaciu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Stafie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Pietrestii's Paul Stafie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Pociu in the 58th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bálint Rigó in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodor Lechințan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Pogba in the 62nd minute of play forced Vargyas UFC's goalkeeper Teodor Lechințan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gică Pociu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gică Pociu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vargyas UFC's Gică Pociu got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Vargyas UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Pogba came free, but Teodor Lechințan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodor Lechințan was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Paul Pogba capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paul Pogba really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Cazimir Gaciu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The Vargyas UFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pietrestii were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
