Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rapid Bucutesti's Alex Druță started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Toader Andronic was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Furnicosi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 6 minutes into the game, Eduard Bercea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapid Bucutesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Furnicosi the free kick. Furnicosi's Lucian Urduban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Druță in the 12th minute of play. Petrică Domnescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mugurel Arapașu could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Furnicosi's Petrică Domnescu got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mugurel Arapașu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Petrică Domnescu sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Furnicosi's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Bîlbă came free, but Lucian Urduban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toader Andronic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mugurel Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petrică Domnescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petrică Domnescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Arapașu having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucutesti's Petru Bîlbă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucian Urduban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Toader Andronic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toader Andronic to strike the kick off in the second half. Toader Andronic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mugurel Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Andronic succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Petru Bîlbăs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Lucian Urduban to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petrică Domnescu in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugurel Arapașu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eduard Bercea hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Andronic in the 65th minute of play forced Rapid Bucutesti's goalkeeper Mugurel Arapașu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes Rapid Bucutesti got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Bercea. Furnicosi's Toader Andronic got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toader Andronic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mugurel Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavril Hristea during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Furnicosi got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Hristea. Lucian Urduban was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Iordache Rioşanu. After a rather tough play, Rapid Bucutesti's Daniel Șora got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Toader Andronic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Furnicosi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toader Andronic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Petrică Domnescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Furnicosi fully deserved thier win.
