The audience was convinced that Iustin Arbore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Antim was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Harmasfalu CSS's Adrian Antim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Harmasfalu CSS from getting a goal against them. Though ot was a great shot Harmasfalu CSS's keeper Adrian Antim was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After a rather tough play, Harmasfalu CSS's Gelu Vornicescu got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Iustin Arbore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Horea Bot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sohatul's Niculae Hurezan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Nisipeanu in the 22nd minute of play. Horea Bots short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Adrian Antim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Toader Beșliu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toader Beșliu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Iustin Arbore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Florin Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Hurezan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Hurezan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Nisipeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Florin Nisipeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Sohatul got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Gorcea. Harmasfalu CSS's Martin Tase managed to work through Sohatul's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Martin Tase dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sohatul's goalkeeper Niculae Hurezan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florin Nisipeanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Iustin Arbore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Antim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 54th minute of the match Aurel Gorcea completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aurel Gorcea a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aurel Gorcea kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Sohatul's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Nisipeanu came free, but Niculae Hurezan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horea Bot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sohatul's Horea Bot got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Sohatul defense, Martin Tase kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niculae Hurezan. The Sohatul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Hurezan should have stopped the shot. Horea Bot struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Adrian Antim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sohatul. When Costel Ştiubei came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Harmasfalu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costel Ştiubei couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Tase got free with Niculae Hurezan in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niculae Hurezan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Nisipeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Florin Nisipeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Harmasfalu CSS booed when Sohatul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Arbore didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Marius Brașoveanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Harmasfalu CSS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
