Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Petrică Pavel kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Petrică Pavel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Robert Brânza, passed just outside the right post. Robert Brânza made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when David Beșleaga sent off a good shot on target. Avram Nicolae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Prahova FC's Nichifor Zdrehuş got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Prahova FC's Petrică Pavel in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC VITAN's goalie prevented a goal. Petrică Pavel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Brânza having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Prahova FC's Nichifor Zdrehuş ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robert Brânza. Robert Brânza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 31st minute Avram Nicolae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Vasilescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Petrică Pavel took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Robert Brânza to make any attempt to save it. 38 minutes into the match, Prahova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Nicolae came free, but Dorel Vasilescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Brânza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Pavel in the 40th minute of the match. Alexandru Voicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Brânza was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Petrică Pavel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petrică Pavel really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. If Petrică Pavel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Avram Nicolae was the one to do the kick off. Dorel Vasilescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Nicolae in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Petrică Pavel notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of FC VITAN's Robert Brânza. Robert Brânza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petrică Pavel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Robert Brânza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Prahova FC's zone, Avram Nicolae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorel Vasilescu came out of the goal and Avram Nicolae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Petrică Pavel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Brânza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petrică Pavel in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Pavel in the 78th minute of play forced FC VITAN's goalkeeper Robert Brânza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Brânza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Voicescu's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Petrică Pavel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Petrică Pavel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Brânza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Brânza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Beșleaga in the 89th minute of the match. Petrică Pavel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Brânza having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Voicescu in the 93rd minute of play forced FC VITAN's goalkeeper Robert Brânza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC VITAN's Robert Brânza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Pavel in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Prahova FC were the better team. Prahova FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
