Spectators: 7436 (Terracing: 5578, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sorin Lepuș took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in -ARD-GMT-Vijelia ALBA's zone, Sandu Bădoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dragoş Dragomiroiu came out of the goal and Sandu Bădoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. -ARD-GMT-Vijelia ALBA's Dragoş Dragomiroiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Mazăre in the 5th minute of play. Sandu Bădoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dragoş Dragomiroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Mazăre in the 18th minute of play forced -ARD-GMT-Vijelia ALBA's goalkeeper Dragoş Dragomiroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragoş Dragomiroiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petre Mazăre's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Petre Mazăre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Dragomiroiu having to interfere. Sandu Bădoi took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dragoş Dragomiroiu. Dragoş Dragomiroiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Petre Mazăre might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dragoş Dragomiroiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petre Mazăre ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 31 minutes, Sandu Bădoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aronesti CSM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Bădoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sandu Bădoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert Sădeanu's late challenge caught a Aronesti CSM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Sădeanu helped the player get up and apologised. Albert Sădeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Dragoş Dragomiroiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Bădoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Sandu Bădoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dragoş Dragomiroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Lupșe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Lupșe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Hurmuz having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petre Mazăre to strike the kick off in the second half. Dragoş Dragomiroiu was a little too slow when Petre Mazăre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-2. Radu Şimandan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Dragoş Dragomiroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petre Mazăre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, -ARD-GMT-Vijelia ALBA's Dragoş Dragomiroiu got control of the ball when Sandu Bădoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radu Şimandan kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Sorin Lepuș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1-3 became the score in the 84th minute when Petre Mazăre elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Emil Lupșe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilie Hurmuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Lupșe in the 91st minute of play. Petre Mazăre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dragoş Dragomiroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th match minute, -ARD-GMT-Vijelia ALBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Şimandan to maneuver through the defense. Sandu Bădoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 99thth minute, Dragoş Dragomiroiu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match was over Aronesti CSM could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than -ARD-GMT-Vijelia ALBA throughout the match.
