Ilie Hurmuz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 10 minutes of play, RAPID Utd.'s Ovidiu Ciorobîtcă made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilie Hurmuz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ilie Hurmuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 齐旭梁 in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Aronesti CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Knops came free, but Ilie Hurmuz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Ciorobîtcă scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Hurmuz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mugur Lițu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Mazăre, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Petre Mazăre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandu Bădoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mugur Lițu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandu Bădoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 齐旭梁's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilie Hurmuz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. RAPID Utd. were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Aronesti CSM's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Isac Mihăilescu took the corner. 齐旭梁 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ilie Hurmuz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half RAPID Utd. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petre Mazăre made a kick off. With a little luck, Aronesti CSM's Ilie Hurmuz got control of the ball when Ovidiu Ciorobîtcă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ionică Murgu's late challenge caught a RAPID Utd.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionică Murgu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Ionică Murgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilie Hurmuz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Buciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 齐旭梁 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gică Drăgănoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, 齐旭梁 fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Nistor Cordescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 齐旭梁's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilie Hurmuz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After 78 played minutes Aronesti CSM got a freekick which was hit by Gică Drăgănoiu. Nistor Cordescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Cordescu struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ilie Hurmuz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RAPID Utd.. If Ovidiu Ciorobîtcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Nistor Cordescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. RAPID Utd.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Cordescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Hurmuz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 齐旭梁 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded RAPID Utd. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aronesti CSM.
