Sandu Braia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, SCM VASLUI's Codrin Logofeteanu got a free kick in the 10th minute. Panait Ecobici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Gavril Simionescu made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, SCM VASLUI's goalkeeper Gavril Simionescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Baltian. Gavril Simionescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Hidiș in the 16th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Gavril Simionescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Stavaru booed when SCM VASLUI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Maghiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codrin Logofeteanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandu Braia having to make a save. In the 36th minute, Codrin Logofeteanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Stavaru getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Dumitru Baltian hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Dumitru Baltian made a precise shot to the right of Gavril Simionescu. SCM VASLUI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 46th minute Sergiu Hidiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Simionescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sandu Braia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marian Mineață. Gavril Simionescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stavaru. In the 77thth minute of the game Panait Ecobici who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCM VASLUI's Gavril Simionescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sergiu Hidiș scored 3-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavril Simionescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Codrin Logofeteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gavril Simionescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Ecobici, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Sergiu Hidiș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavril Simionescu was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Panait Ecobici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stavaru had won after a very even match.
