The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Enosesti FC's zone, Eusebiu Mangra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcu Hidișan came out of the goal and Eusebiu Mangra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonard Taşcău blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcu Hidișan having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Taşcău got free with Marcu Hidișan in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Mangra in the 11th minute of play forced Enosesti FC's goalkeeper Marcu Hidișan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Șerban Crețu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Ghiurutan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Enosesti FC booed when FC REAL UNIREA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Kirilov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcu Hidișan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebiu Mangra's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Eusebiu Mangra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcu Hidișan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Taşcău might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcu Hidișan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Taşcău ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Taşcău got free with Marcu Hidișan in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Mangra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcu Hidișan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonard Taşcău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcu Hidișan having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Marcu Hidișan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 35 minutes, Leonard Taşcău managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC REAL UNIREA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Taşcău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Eusebiu Mangra managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC REAL UNIREA's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebiu Mangra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcu Hidișan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Enosesti FC's zone, Eusebiu Mangra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcu Hidișan came out of the goal and Eusebiu Mangra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusebiu Mangra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Leonard Taşcău received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Marcu Hidișan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Eusebiu Mangra notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Enosesti FC's Marcu Hidișan. Marcu Hidișan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the match, Enosesti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Taşcău came free, but Marcu Hidișan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eusebiu Mangra came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC REAL UNIREA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebiu Mangra couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Enosesti FC's protests and gave Marcel Visarion a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Enosesti FC's Marcel Visarion got a free kick in the 94th minute. FC REAL UNIREA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
