Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sescioara's Octav Barbu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergiu Furdui got free with Gabriel Bacalu in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 played minutes Continentalul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Horea. 11 minutes into the game, Continentalul Buzau's Denis Mirea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxim Saşca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Barbu in the 16th minute of play forced Continentalul Buzau's goalkeeper Gabriel Bacalu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Continentalul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Horea. Sergiu Furdui struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gabriel Bacalu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sescioara. In the 19th minute, Irinel Chinezu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Alexandru Boian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sescioara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandru Boian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Continentalul Buzau's Gabriel Bacalu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Continentalul Buzau from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Mercea in the 31st minute of play forced Sescioara's goalkeeper Maxim Saşca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Sescioara's Gabriel Bacalu threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexandru Boian, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 34 minutes, Isac Pescaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Continentalul Buzau and the Sescioara players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sescioara booed when Continentalul Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Pescaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irinel Chinezu charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Irinel Chinezu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Continentalul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Chinezu. After a rather tough play, Continentalul Buzau's Irinel Chinezu got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costin Mercea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Mihai Şantău mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sescioara and the Continentalul Buzau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Sescioara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Şantău to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Continentalul Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Cristache came free, but Gabriel Bacalu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Continentalul Buzau's Petrică Gherasim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Costin Mercea could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Maxim Saşca however easily saved by the left post. Maxim Saşca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Mitulescu in the 68th minute of the match. Costin Mercea struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Maxim Saşca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Continentalul Buzau. Continentalul Buzau's Gabriel Bacalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Furdui in the 82nd minute of play. Mihai Şantău kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Gabriel Bacalu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sergiu Furdui came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Sescioara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergiu Furdui couldn't finish the play.
