The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mugur Grecu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Pistol in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costel Burileanu saved Scurtelnici from getting behind. Octav Huțupan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luca Iulian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Miercurea - Ciuc Academy's zone, Octav Huțupan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luca Iulian came out of the goal and Octav Huțupan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Ştefănescu in the 19th minute of play forced Miercurea - Ciuc Academy's goalkeeper Luca Iulian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Scurtelnici's Marius Ştefănescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luca Iulian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Iacob Cotuțiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Costel Burileanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Marius Ştefănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scurtelnici's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Ştefănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scurtelnici's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miercurea - Ciuc Academy the free kick. In the 41st minute of the match Florin Oprița shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costel Burileanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luca Iulian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Huțupan in the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Miercurea - Ciuc Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Huțupan came free, but Luca Iulian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scurtelnici's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miercurea - Ciuc Academy the free kick. After 53 played minutes Scurtelnici got a freekick which was hit by Isac Vâlcu. 58 minutes into the match, Miercurea - Ciuc Academy's Emil Pistol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costel Burileanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 1-1 became the score in the 60th minute when Iacob Cotuțiu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Costin Dulgherescu charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costin Dulgherescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Miercurea - Ciuc Academy getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Costin Dulgherescu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Scurtelnici's zone, Emil Pistol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costel Burileanu came out of the goal and Emil Pistol tried to chip the ball over his head. After 76 played minutes Miercurea - Ciuc Academy got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Cercelescu. In the 77th minute, Felix Iulian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scurtelnici fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Octav Huțupan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marius Ştefănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luca Iulian having to interfere. Anton Ponta hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octav Huțupan got free with Luca Iulian in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Miercurea - Ciuc Academy's Anton Ponta got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Miercurea - Ciuc Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Grecu came free, but Luca Iulian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
