After a rather tough play, Potingeni FCM's Sorin Ivăncioiu got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karol Tokarczyk in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costel Găvănescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastian Achifoaiei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cătălin Ghițulescu in the 14th minute. Ionel Gâfu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Costel Găvănescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Potingeni FCM's Costel Găvănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Răduțu in the 20th minute of play. Codrin Răduțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costel Găvănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Gâfu in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Victoria M.Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Filip Lăcătușu. A sloppy throw-in by Petrică Pășcuțoiu in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Victoria M.Buzau's Filip Lăcătușu. Potingeni FCM's Costel Găvănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Gâfu in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ionel Gâfu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Victoria M.Buzau's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionel Gâfu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costel Găvănescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Karol Tokarczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Victoria M.Buzau's supporters rose to their feet, but Karol Tokarczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costel Găvănescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mădălin Cămărășescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Achifoaiei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mădălin Cămărășescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Victoria M.Buzau's Karol Tokarczyk got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mădălin Cămărășescu made a kick off. Victoria M.Buzau's Sebastian Achifoaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Cămărășescu in the 55th minute of play. Filip Lăcătușu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ionel Gâfu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costel Găvănescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Potingeni FCM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Karol Tokarczyk scored to the left of an out of position Costel Găvănescu, making the score, 0-3. Ionel Gâfu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Găvănescu having to interfere. When Codrin Răduțu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Victoria M.Buzau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Răduțu couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Achifoaiei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Ghițulescu in the 73rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Karol Tokarczyk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Costel Găvănescu. That made the score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. Codrin Răduțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karol Tokarczyk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costel Găvănescu having to make a save. Victoria M.Buzau's Sebastian Achifoaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Cămărășescu in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mădălin Cămărășescu in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Achifoaiei saved Victoria M.Buzau from getting behind. Ionel Gâfu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Găvănescu having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Ionel Gâfu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria M.Buzau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Gâfu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Potingeni FCM fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Victoria M.Buzau were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
