Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mădălin Pârvan started the match with the kick off. Nistor Mironov hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Tepeseni's Cătălin Bologan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vasesti. After 12 minutes of play, Vasesti's Robert Zbârlea made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dragoş Vrejiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th match minute, Tepeseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Caramarin to maneuver through the defense. Dragoş Vrejiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Zbârlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Zbârlea in the 27th minute of play forced Tepeseni's goalkeeper Dragoş Vrejiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viorel Udurbac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mădălin Pârvan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Tudor Rogozea made a precise shot to the right of Petru Mortu. Vasesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 47th minute Mădălin Pârvan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Mortu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viorel Udurbac to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Udurbac in the 53rd minute of play forced Tepeseni's goalkeeper Dragoş Vrejiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Tepeseni got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Tudoran. 58 minutes into the match, Vasesti's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Rogozea came free, but Petru Mortu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Robert Zbârlea could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Dragoş Vrejiu however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Vasesti getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edgar Schipor hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Pârvan in the 66th minute of play forced Vasesti's goalkeeper Petru Mortu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes of play, Tepeseni's Mădălin Pârvan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petru Mortu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Tepeseni's Dragoş Vrejiu got control of the ball when Viorel Udurbac tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vasesti's zone, Mădălin Pârvan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Mortu came out of the goal and Mădălin Pârvan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Vasesti getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Mădălin Oprița hit a great ball. Viorel Udurbac blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dragoş Vrejiu having to make a save. Mădălin Pârvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tudor Rogozea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vasesti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
