When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viorel Udurbac made a kick off. Vasesti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edgar Schipor in the 54th minute. The corner led Vasesti's Edgar Schipor to fire away a dangerous shot which Sergiu Fulga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 60th minute, Nistor Mironov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Zbârlea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergiu Fulga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Francisc Şoltuz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Mortu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gelu Perșa. In the 72ndth minute of the game Viorel Udurbac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DUNAREA GALATI's Sergiu Fulga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vasesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Francisc Şoltuz scored to the left of an out of position Petru Mortu, making the score, 1-1. Sergiu Fulga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Udurbac in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Dorin Brânzaș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petru Mortu. Vasesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorin Brânzaș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Francisc Şoltuz ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DUNAREA GALATI had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
