The referee ignored Butculesti CSS's protests and gave Remus Berbec a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Butculesti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Remus Berbec. Butculesti CSS's Ilie Lalescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Butculesti CSS from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Butculesti CSS's Ilie Lalescu got control of the ball when Torsten Holmberg tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The audience was convinced that Evaristo Policarpio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans-Martin Hårstad was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Traian Vlas in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Butculesti CSS's Paul Buricea. Hans-Martin Hårstad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Moise Chifu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 80 minute of play.
