If Emilian Gheară had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ovidiu Stănoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavril Zorlescu having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Budrea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Ciolac to maneuver through the defense. If Ciprian Greculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilian Gheară fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavril Zorlescu having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Budrea's Emilian Gheară dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Ovidiu Stănoiu came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Budrea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidiu Stănoiu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Martinesti AC's Octav Gorun got a free kick in the 30th minute. Emilian Gheară sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Gavril Zorlescu managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Budrea's Ovidiu Stănoiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 35 minutes into the match, Martinesti AC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Gheară came free, but Gavril Zorlescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Emilian Gheară shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Zorlescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavril Zorlescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilian Gheară stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Martinesti AC got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Greculescu. After 54 minutes of play, Budrea's Emilian Gheară made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavril Zorlescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emilian Gheară took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavril Zorlescu. Gavril Zorlescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ovidiu Stănoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavril Zorlescu having to interfere. Ovidiu Stănoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Ciprian Greculescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Stelian Albuț was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ionică Antonescu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Martinesti AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionică Antonescu couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Iulian Benga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristide Stolojan might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavril Zorlescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aristide Stolojan ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Budrea had won after a very even match.
