Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nichifor Pădure took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Nichifor Pădure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Teişanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Otesti AS booed when Costana CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Albulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichifor Pădure's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Teişanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Andrei Trică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marian Popeangă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Iacob Zdrobiş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marian Popeangă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Zdrobiş having to interfere. Iacob Zdrobiş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Bărbuceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ilie Tomoioagă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Teişanu having to make a save. 32 minutes into the game, Nichifor Olteanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costana CS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Otesti AS the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Costana CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Olteanu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Costana CS's zone, Ilie Tomoioagă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Teişanu came out of the goal and Ilie Tomoioagă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bogdan Teişanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Pădure, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Andrei Trică struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Iacob Zdrobiş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costana CS. 47 minutes into the match, Otesti AS's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Popeangă came free, but Iacob Zdrobiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marian Popeangă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrei Trică got free with Iacob Zdrobiş in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
