Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eugen Chimeț started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Albert Bobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florin Ecobescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Bobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hotarul's Grigore Drăgoescu got a free kick in the 8th minute. Răzvan Gorgan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavril Leucuța sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Lucrețiu charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iurie Lucrețiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Chichirau getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Iurie Lucrețiu hit a great ball. Răzvan Gorgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Chichirau's zone, Grigore Drăgoescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Capătă came out of the goal and Grigore Drăgoescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th match minute, Chichirau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Popovici to maneuver through the defense. Hotarul's Grigore Drăgoescu got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Grigore Drăgoescu off the ground. A collision led to Hotarul getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Grigore Drăgoescu hit a great ball. Gigi Capătă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Cârlan in the 40th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gavril Leucuța kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigi Capătă. That made the score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
53 minutes into the match, Chichirau's goal looked a bit too open when Gavril Leucuța came free, but Gigi Capătă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gavril Leucuța had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Bobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augustin Cârlan charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augustin Cârlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Augustin Cârlan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Eugen Chimeț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Florin Ecobescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Eugen Chimeț fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Augustin Cârlan came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Hotarul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Cârlan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Leucuța in the 71st minute of play forced Chichirau's goalkeeper Gigi Capătă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Chichirau's goal looked a bit too open when Gavril Leucuța came free, but Gigi Capătă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Eugen Chimeț reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Florin Ecobescu. The goal made the score 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Răzvan Gorgan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hotarul's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Gorgan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigi Capătă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 87 minutes, Gavril Leucuța managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hotarul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavril Leucuța was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigi Capătă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihai Plop in the 89th minute of play. Gigi Capătă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Comănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Chichirau's Albert Bobe got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hotarul had played much better football throughout.
