Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dorel Stamate took the kick off in the first half of the match. Iordache Popârcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 12th minute, but Virgil Iosif got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ciovei CSM hanging dry this time. Cetateaua's Iordache Popârcea managed to work through Ciovei CSM's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Iordache Popârcea dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Dorel Stamate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iordache Popârcea in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgil Iosif, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dorel Stamate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Virgil Iosif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorel Stamate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Iosif having to interfere. Iordache Popârcea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Virgil Iosif when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Cismarescu was the one to do the kick off. When Dorel Stamate came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Cetateaua fans jumped to their feet.
