The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Costestii's Eduard Dumitrescu got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eche Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduard Dumitrescu struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Adrian Sima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costestii. In the 8th minute of the match, Eche Homo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adrian Sima saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A well placed Eche Homo short distance shot in the 10th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The crowd rose to their feet as Costestii's Eche Homo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adrian Sima. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. Victor Costandache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Bosioc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduard Dumitrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Adrian Sima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.S.A Tg Mures's Adrian Sima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save A.S.A Tg Mures from getting a goal against them. Eche Homo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eche Homo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.S.A Tg Mures's goalkeeper Adrian Sima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in A.S.A Tg Mures's zone, Eduard Dumitrescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sima came out of the goal and Eduard Dumitrescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eche Homo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Eche Homo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S.A Tg Mures's Adrian Sima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Bosioc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciprian Bulcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costestii's Nicu Crâșmaru was substituted for Eduard Dumitrescu. Costestii's Leonard Turcescu was substituted for Aurel Siteavu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eche Homo in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Sima saved A.S.A Tg Mures from getting behind. Eche Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Nicu Crâșmaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eche Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Călin Mitică kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicu Crâșmaru in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Sima saved A.S.A Tg Mures from getting behind. In the 93rdth minute of the game Eche Homo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S.A Tg Mures's Adrian Sima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eche Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Costestii had played much better football throughout.
