Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ovidiu Popilean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Cioacă in the 6th minute of the match. Ovidiu Popilean made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Remus in the 9th minute. Ovidiu Popilean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Cioacă, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Botosani FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Cioacă came free, but Ovidiu Popilean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes DAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Prezan. Botosani FC's Ovidiu Popilean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Botosani FC from getting a goal against them. Horia Buta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Nicolae Hreapcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidiu Popilean was a little too slow when Fabian Mihuleac got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Botosani FC's Ovidiu Popilean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Cioacă in the 28th minute of play. Ovidiu Popilean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Cioacă in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Fabian Mihuleac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DAS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Mihuleac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Botosani FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Cioacă came free, but Ovidiu Popilean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Popilean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Cioacă in the 35th minute of play. Fabian Mihuleac's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Ovidiu Popilean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Panait Cioacă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botosani FC's Ovidiu Popilean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Panait Cioacă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ovidiu Popilean didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 46th minute, David Remus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

DAS FC's Panait Cioacă got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ovidiu Popilean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Mihuleac in the 53rd minute of the match. Ovidiu Popilean came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by DAS FC's Fabian Mihuleac. But to his dismay, Fabian Mihuleac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 58th minute Fabian Mihuleac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Popilean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidiu Popilean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Cioacă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Panait Cioacă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DAS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 86 played minutes Botosani FC got a freekick which was hit by Călin Dejeu. In the 89th minute, David Remus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olimpiu Prezan charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olimpiu Prezan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, DAS FC's Olimpiu Prezan got a free kick in the 91st minute. Fabian Mihuleac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DAS FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
