The audience thought a goal was coming when Väino Kotkas got free with Iustinian Amitroaiei in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigel Petcu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionel Chelaru went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute Cristi Răchiteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Petcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes FC Recolta Izvoarele got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Mardarescu. A collision led to Csiksanfalva getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Grigore Nebunu hit a great ball. Gigel Petcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Chelaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Csiksanfalva getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Horaţiu Coman hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Ionel Chelaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigel Petcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ionel Chelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gigel Petcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gigel Petcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Nebunu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Väino Kotkas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Iustinian Amitroaiei made a huge save. After 45 minutes of play, FC Recolta Izvoarele's Väino Kotkas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iustinian Amitroaiei was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Väino Kotkas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Csiksanfalva's Iustinian Amitroaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Väino Kotkas in the 52nd minute of play. The Csiksanfalva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustinian Amitroaiei should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute Grigore Nebunu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Petcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Csiksanfalva's Iustinian Amitroaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Gheorghiță in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Csiksanfalva had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
