Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Väino Kotkas took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, FC Recolta Izvoarele's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Țepeluș came free, but Gigel Petcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Leonard Țepeluș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Petcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Recolta Izvoarele's Gigel Petcu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save FC Recolta Izvoarele from getting a goal against them. Gigel Petcu made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Florin Amuguroancei sent off a good shot on target. Petru Frântu missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 18 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gigel Petcu right hand side. 20 minutes into the match, Petru Frântu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gigel Petcu, 1-0. After having played for 25 minutes, Florin Amuguroancei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Baia Mare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Amuguroancei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petru Frântu in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Petcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute, Gheorghe Mardarescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, F.C. Baia Mare's Petru Frântu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigel Petcu. Gigel Petcu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 38th minute, Petru Frântu made a precise shot to the right of Gigel Petcu. FC Recolta Izvoarele's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to FC Recolta Izvoarele getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Codruț Gheorghiță hit a great ball. Florin Amuguroancei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Petcu having to interfere. Gigel Petcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Țepeluș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florin Amuguroancei made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Florin Amuguroancei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gigel Petcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Amuguroancei in the 54th minute of the match. Gigel Petcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Agrigoroaiei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinu Şuteu during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Recolta Izvoarele booed when F.C. Baia Mare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Şuteu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantin Aliuta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudiu Nicoliță. F.C. Baia Mare's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gigel Petcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Frântu in the 65th minute of play. In the 74th minute Codruț Gheorghiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Nicoliță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudiu Nicoliță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Gheorghiță in the 75th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Leonard Țepeluș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigel Petcu. FC Recolta Izvoarele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Țepeluș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 85th minute Petru Frântu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Petcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Recolta Izvoarele's Gigel Petcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Agrigoroaiei in the 87th minute of play. Gigel Petcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Țepeluș in the 88th minute of play. Gigel Petcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Frântu in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Țepeluș in the 91st minute of play forced FC Recolta Izvoarele's goalkeeper Gigel Petcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, FC Recolta Izvoarele's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Frântu came free, but Gigel Petcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes FC Recolta Izvoarele got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Mardarescu. F.C. Baia Mare walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
