After a defensive mix-up in Tabacesti's zone, Luca Hoisie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandru Văcaru came out of the goal and Luca Hoisie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Tabacesti booed when Plasoiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Jugănaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Cerghizan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Todoran having to interfere. Luca Hoisie struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Alexandru Văcaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plasoiu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iordache Nestor during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tabacesti's Iordache Nestor got a free kick in the 25th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Plasoiu's Narcis Ioviță tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Tabacesti's Ionel Galușcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horea Todoran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Plasoiu's goal looked a bit too open when Ionel Galușcă came free, but Horea Todoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigel Giugiuc kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Isac Cerghizan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horea Todoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Cerghizan in the 40th minute of play. Ionel Galușcă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horea Todoran having to make a save. Luca Hoisies short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Alexandru Văcaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ionel Galușcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horea Todoran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionel Galușcă ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Plasoiu's goalkeeper Horea Todoran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Cerghizan. After 73 minutes of play, Plasoiu's Ernest Levițchi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandru Văcaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gigel Giugiuc kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. A hard shot 77 in the game by Isac Cerghizan from a close distance when the talented Horea Todoran managed to make a qualified save. Plasoiu's players were relieved. In the 82nd minute, Ernest Levițchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Luca Hoisie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plasoiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Hoisie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes of play, Plasoiu's Ernest Levițchi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandru Văcaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isac Cerghizans short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Horea Todoran to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ionel Galușcă struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Horea Todoran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabacesti. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Plasoiu fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tabacesti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
