Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cornel Orășan made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Cornel Orășan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavius Encescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Luțu having to interfere. Flavius Encescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabin Luțu came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Odobesti FCM's Flavius Encescu. But to his dismay, Flavius Encescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Flavius Encescu scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sabin Luțu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petre Potoroacă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petre Potoroacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sabin Luțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Odobesti FCM got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Sucigan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Orășan in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinu Chițu saved Odobesti FCM from getting behind. Petre Potoroacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sabin Luțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavius Encescu got free with Sabin Luțu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Odobesti FCM's Petre Potoroacă in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stiinta Craiova's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petre Potoroacă in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Luțu saved Stiinta Craiova from getting behind. Sabin Luțu came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Odobesti FCM's Flavius Encescu. But to his dismay, Flavius Encescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Flavius Encescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Horea Hăvârneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Odobesti FCM booed when Stiinta Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Radu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petre Potoroacă might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sabin Luțu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petre Potoroacă ran back to his position shaking his head. Sabin Luțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petre Potoroacă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Petre Potoroacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Stiinta Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Mihăescu. After some careless play in the Stiinta Craiova defense, Petre Potoroacă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sabin Luțu. The Stiinta Craiova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabin Luțu should have stopped the shot. After 80 played minutes Odobesti FCM got a freekick which was hit by Petre Potoroacă. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Orășan in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinu Chițu saved Odobesti FCM from getting behind. 88 minutes into the game, Petre Potoroacă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Odobesti FCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiinta Craiova the free kick. Petre Potoroacă hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Odobesti FCM were the better team. Odobesti FCM's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
