Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 5) Flavius Encea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Flavius Encea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stiinta Craiova's Sabin Luțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavius Encea in the 12th minute of play. When Adam Ghițulescu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Vointa Sibiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Ghițulescu couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavius Encea in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Luțu saved Stiinta Craiova from getting behind. Sabin Luțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Encea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes Vointa Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Fărcașu. After 25 played minutes Stiinta Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Robert Radu. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Flavius Encea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vointa Sibiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavius Encea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabin Luțu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 played minutes Stiinta Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Horea Hăvârneanu. The Vointa Sibiu fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Vointa Sibiu's Flavius Encea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sabin Luțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavius Encea in the 41st minute of play. When Pavel Dobre fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vointa Sibiu's protests and gave Pavel Dobre a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Vointa Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Dobre to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cornel Orășan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavius Encea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Stiinta Craiova booed when Vointa Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Encea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodor Ştefănescu during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vointa Sibiu's Teodor Ştefănescu got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Cornel Orășan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bocaneț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stiinta Craiova! Pavel Dobre shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Vlad Tripon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Sabin Luțu made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Flavius Encea made a precise shot to the right of Sabin Luțu. Stiinta Craiova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Flavius Encea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Stiinta Craiova's goalkeeper Sabin Luțu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavel Dobre. Sabin Luțu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Flavius Encea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. The Vointa Sibiu fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Vointa Sibiu's Flavius Encea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 89 minutes, Vlad Tripon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vointa Sibiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlad Tripon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavius Encea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Luțu having to interfere. The Stiinta Craiova fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vointa Sibiu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
