Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandru Gane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantin Răchiteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Mihail Ogică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Gârdan in the 26th minute of play. Lucrețiu Brădescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandru Gane having to make a save. In the 47th match minute, Sitani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Mazilu to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grunji's goalkeeper Alexandru Gane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Constantin Răchiteanu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Grunji's Alexandru Gane. In the 95th minute of the match Felix Amandiței shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihail Ogică showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 96 played minutes Sitani got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Mazilu. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sitani had played much better football throughout.
