Martin Bratiloveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Alin Melentie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Bebeșel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alin Melentie having to interfere. Alin Melentie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Bebeșel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Adam Blaj took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alin Melentie. Dolea AS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Sandu Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Horea Şteţ successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. George Lăzăroiu charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Lăzăroiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, Gradesti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Lăzăroiu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Dolea AS booed when Gradesti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Sava didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristi Manu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Horea Şteţ firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dolea AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Sălcudeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Gradesti CSS defense, Cristi Manu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horea Şteţ. The Gradesti CSS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horea Şteţ should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Martin Bratiloveanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gradesti CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Bratiloveanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alin Melentie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aron Bebeșel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristi Manu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Octav Orescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gradesti CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dolea AS the free kick. A collision led to Gradesti CSS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Octav Orescu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gradesti CSS's zone, Cristi Manu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horea Şteţ came out of the goal and Cristi Manu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gradesti CSS getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Octav Orescu hit a great ball. Dolea AS's Alin Melentie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bratiloveanu in the 94th minute of play. Alin Melentie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aron Bebeșel in the 98th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gradesti CSS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dolea AS.
