Aurel Iliuță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panait Lamru's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 5thth minute of the game Rodolfo Sánchez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cicanesti CF's Aurel Iliuță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Cicanesti CF getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Costel Potra hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Sánchez in the 8th minute of play forced Cicanesti CF's goalkeeper Aurel Iliuță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, Cicanesti CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Bratu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Sánchez in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurel Iliuță prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 minutes, Rodolfo Sánchez made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cicanesti CF's Aurel Iliuță tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Cicanesti CF's Mugurel Zmărăndescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denis Zamfirescu. Denis Zamfirescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 32ndth minute of the game Panait Lamru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cicanesti CF's Aurel Iliuță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Costel Potra kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half FC Marmatia-MM- were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Costel Potra made the kick off in the second half. When Panait Lamru came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FC Marmatia-MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panait Lamru couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Marmatia-MM- booed when Cicanesti CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Iorgovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nichifor Bratu fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cicanesti CF's protests and gave Nichifor Bratu a yellow card for diving instead. Cicanesti CF's Aurel Iliuță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Cicanesti CF from getting a goal against them. Panait Lamru did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Aurel Iliuță 64 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, one of Cicanesti CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cicanesti CF. Iulian Pintilie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mugurel Zmărăndescu took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Zamfirescu. Denis Zamfirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The supporters of FC Marmatia-MM- booed when Cicanesti CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sorin Craia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iacob Bitang hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Isaltino Fernandez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aurel Iliuță. Cicanesti CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Marmatia-MM- walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
