Basarab Cristoloveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Martin Stoleru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Vladimirescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Aurel Onciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurel Onciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Marcel Vladimirescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogdan Golumbean was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Florin Mischie might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Golumbean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florin Mischie ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin Stoleru didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Florin Mischie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Golumbean having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Marcel Vladimirescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ghiris CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Vladimirescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Golumbean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the game, Ghiris CF's Marcel Vladimirescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Golumbean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Basarab Petre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Ghiris CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Basarab Cristoloveanu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marcel Vladimirescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basarab Cristoloveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Stoleru having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ghiris CF's Marcel Vladimirescu got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chioseler SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Rădulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Ghiris CF got a freekick which was hit by Costel Grozuță. In the 69thth minute of the game Basarab Cristoloveanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ghiris CF's Martin Stoleru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marcel Vladimirescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Cristoloveanu in the 73rd minute of play forced Ghiris CF's goalkeeper Martin Stoleru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ghiris CF's Aurel Onciu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Ghiris CF's Marcel Vladimirescu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ghiris CF's Martin Stoleru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basarab Cristoloveanu in the 88th minute of play. Dumitru Jilăveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Martin Stoleru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Chioseler SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Florei to maneuver through the defense. Vintilă Florei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ghiris CF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
