Calistrat Dridu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zdrelea having to interfere. Narcis Dancu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Vădan in the 22nd minute of the match. Bogdan Băieșu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Narcis Dancu made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, deCode F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Vădan came free, but Narcis Dancu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodor Vădan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcis Dancu saved deCode F.C. from getting behind. A collision led to deCode F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cristi Manciulea hit a great ball. Tiberiu Zdrelea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Stârcea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Nechifor Radu made a precise shot to the right of Tiberiu Zdrelea. BVB Dortmund RO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. deCode F.C.'s Narcis Dancu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Geangu in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, BVB Dortmund RO's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Răducanu came free, but Tiberiu Zdrelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, deCode F.C.'s Nechifor Radu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiberiu Zdrelea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Paul Stârcea came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the deCode F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Stârcea couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bogdan Băieșu to strike the kick off in the second half. Rareș Bogrea lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BVB Dortmund RO! Paul Stârcea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiberiu Zdrelea having to make a save. deCode F.C.'s Nechifor Radu got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ionuț Axinte charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
