In the 10thth minute of the game Cristinel Niculescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ortisoara CF's Sabin Petrea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristinel Niculescu charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristinel Niculescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Brancoveni AC got a freekick which was hit by Cristinel Niculescu. Cristinel Niculescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sabin Petrea having to make a save. When Cristinel Niculescu came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Brancoveni AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Niculescu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Cristinel Niculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brancoveni AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristinel Niculescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Brancoveni AC's Iustin Izvoranu got control of the ball when Leontin Ungureanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Brancoveni AC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Brancoveni AC's Lucrețiu Avacariței looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aristide Cutean received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iustin Izvoranu came out and tried to block the shot, but Aristide Cutean slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. Aristide Culiță hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Brancoveni AC's Lucrețiu Avacariței sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sabin Petrea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 50th minute, Șerban Albulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucrețiu Avacariței recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Cristinel Niculescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristide Cutean in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iustin Izvoranu saved Brancoveni AC from getting behind. Brancoveni AC's Iustin Izvoranu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Culiță in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Brancoveni AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Albulescu to maneuver through the defense.
