The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucrețiu Găvan scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emil Trandafir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dorin Itoafă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 9 minutes, Moise Mironov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vitanestii CSS and the Jupani players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dorin Itoafă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Adrian Siniştean made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, Jupani's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Fărcășan came free, but Emil Trandafir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Găvan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emil Trandafir. Jupani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucrețiu Găvan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Dorin Itoafă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jupani's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorin Itoafă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Siniştean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorin Itoafă's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Adrian Siniştean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Ioan Lăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jupani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Lăceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ioan Lăceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emil Trandafir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Găvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Vitanestii CSS got a freekick which was hit by Avram Loga. After 41 minutes Vitanestii CSS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Costică Hizo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Jupani's Mircea Pipirig getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vitanestii CSS's zone, Ioan Lăceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Siniştean came out of the goal and Ioan Lăceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorin Itoafă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Siniştean having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ioan Lăceanu made a kick off. Jupani's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Lucrețiu Găvan scored to the left of an out of position Emil Trandafir, making the score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bogdan Puric during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moise Mironov was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Moise Mironov kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Avram Loga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jupani's Ioan Lăceanu in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adrian Siniştean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorin Itoafă's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Dorin Itoafă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Adrian Siniştean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorin Itoafă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Siniştean having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Iurie Fărcășan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vitanestii CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Fărcășan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Trandafir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vitanestii CSS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
