A collision led to Cauaceu AC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Viorel Cartiș hit a great ball. Comunardo Uguccioni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adam Țepeluș kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Cauaceu AC's Marin Jurca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Uguccioni in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Iurie Nica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Jurca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vali Oprișan fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cauaceu AC's protests and gave Vali Oprișan a yellow card for diving instead. Gelu Hurmuz's late challenge caught a Cauaceu AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Hurmuz helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes DH Team Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Hurmuz. DH Team Sibiu's Sever Moțoc got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Iurie Nica made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cauaceu AC's Marin Jurca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Cauaceu AC's Nicolae Ababei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Themis Pasamichalis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iurie Nica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolae Ababei hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Iurie Nica blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marin Jurca having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iurie Nica in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marin Jurca saved Cauaceu AC from getting behind. DH Team Sibiu's Themis Pasamichalis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save DH Team Sibiu from getting a goal against them. Marin Jurca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Nica, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Sever Moțoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Marin Jurca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DH Team Sibiu made a substitution. Marin Miulescu replaced Moise Cretan. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Themis Pasamichalis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Cartiș in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of DH Team Sibiu booed when Cauaceu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Tirulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iurie Nica's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Marin Jurca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iurie Nica did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Marin Jurca 60 minutes into the match. Iurie Nica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Jurca having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, DH Team Sibiu's Iurie Nica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marin Jurca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 74thth minute of the game Iurie Nica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cauaceu AC's Marin Jurca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marin Jurca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Nica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Cauaceu AC defense, Iurie Nica kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marin Jurca. The Cauaceu AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marin Jurca should have stopped the shot. Comunardo Uguccioni scored 0-5 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marin Jurca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th match minute, DH Team Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Țepeluș to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cauaceu AC's zone, Krisztián Kelemen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marin Jurca came out of the goal and Krisztián Kelemen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. DH Team Sibiu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
