The supporters of UFC Vulpeni booed when FC Ocsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. FC Ocsi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC Vulpeni the free kick. In the 22nd minute Marcel Simion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Vuia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC Ocsi's Marcu Stancu in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC Vulpeni's goalie prevented a goal. Sabin Bojin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Nițulescu in the 25th minute of the match. Aurel Vuia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Simion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Ocsi's Aurel Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Simion in the 31st minute of play. If Marcu Stancu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcu Stancu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sabin Bojin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edgar Nițulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, UFC Vulpeni's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Stancu came free, but Sabin Bojin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a penalty for FC Ocsi! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Simion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcu Stancu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Bojin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Vulpeni's zone, Edgar Nițulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabin Bojin came out of the goal and Edgar Nițulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Edgar Nițulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ocsi's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Nițulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabin Bojin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurel Vuia came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Vulpeni's Marcel Simion. But to his dismay, Marcel Simion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mihai Floruțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. UFC Vulpeni's Iulian Ciorăscu got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marcel Simion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Simion in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Ocsi's goalkeeper Aurel Vuia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
