Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Majman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd match minute, Salcea FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Ionășescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Salcea FCM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stefan Rusu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Stefan Rusu notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Salcea FCM's Ovidiu Alupoaie. Ovidiu Alupoaie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Salcea FCM's Ovidiu Alupoaie got control of the ball when Carl Majman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stefan Rusu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ovidiu Alupoaie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salcea FCM's Ovidiu Alupoaie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Salcea FCM from getting a goal against them. Rares Chiru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Mestecăneanu in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Remus Dragota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rares Chiru. FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remus Dragota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Mestecăneanu in the 45th minute of play forced FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's goalkeeper Rares Chiru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Mestecăneanu came free, but Rares Chiru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Rusu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 played minutes FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Abagiu. Thanks to some nice moves Remus Dragota could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Rares Chiru however easily saved by the left post. Ciprian Mestecăneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rares Chiru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Oprea hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Salcea FCM's zone, Stefan Rusu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Alupoaie came out of the goal and Stefan Rusu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remus Dragota kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Ovidiu Alupoaie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Rusu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Salcea FCM walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
