With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alin Păvăloae in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantin Domuță saved Ripa from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remus Bologa during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of Ripa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Constantin Domuță had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Pompiliu Bugariu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 82nd minute, Vali Bobariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petrică Mustățea kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Pipirig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute of the match Augustin Buceceanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantin Domuță skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Ghimpu in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Ciorogaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fc Steaua eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
