Emilian Bobeanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Matei Leluțiu made a huge save. Football Club Vaslui's Dragoş Corlățean got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Dragoş Corlățean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Leluțiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gheorghe Bleoancă fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Football Club Vaslui's protests and gave Gheorghe Bleoancă a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Football Club Vaslui's Gheorghe Bleoancă got a free kick in the 20th minute. Matei Leluțiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dragoş Corlățean's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Corlățean in the 34th minute of play forced Zatarra FC's goalkeeper Matei Leluțiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Zatarra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Corlățean came free, but Matei Leluțiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Emilian Bobeanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Football Club Vaslui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Corlățean in the 42nd minute of play forced Zatarra FC's goalkeeper Matei Leluțiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Dragoş Corlățean managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 46th minute, Válbson Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

In the 62nd minute, one of Zatarra FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zatarra FC. In the 64th minute, Emilian Bobeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matei Leluțiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dragoş Corlățean in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Leluțiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dragoş Corlățean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dragoş Corlățean blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matei Leluțiu having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Bobeanu in the 73rd minute of play forced Zatarra FC's goalkeeper Matei Leluțiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dragoş Corlățean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Football Club Vaslui's supporters rose to their feet, but Dragoş Corlățean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matei Leluțiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dragoş Corlățean in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matei Leluțiu saved Zatarra FC from getting behind. A collision led to Zatarra FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Manuel Deliman hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dragoş Corlățean in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Leluțiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matei Leluțiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Bărbulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dragoş Corlățean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zatarra FC's Matei Leluțiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Corlățean in the 95th minute of play. When Dragoş Corlățean, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Matei Leluțiu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Football Club Vaslui's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
