The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Cizer CF's Adrian Nediu got a free kick in the 5th minute. Gică Hoduț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Ignea having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Saringa CF's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Petre came free, but Emanuel Gherghe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 minutes of play, Cizer CF's Aurel Pricop made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Gherghe was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 34 minutes, Gică Hoduț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saringa CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gică Hoduț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gelu Almăgean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Ignea having to interfere. The Saringa CF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cizer CF were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gică Hoduț stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ilie Ignea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Hoduț, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Saringa CF's Gică Hoduț got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Saringa CF. Ivan Ungheanu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilie Ignea. 4-4. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
