Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cazimir Bobailă got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Costin Pandele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal Bucharest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Pandele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Arsenal Bucharest's Costin Pandele got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Costin Pandele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vezendiu AFC's Dorel Zorlescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Costin Pandele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dorel Zorlescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolae Magheran charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolae Magheran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arsenal Bucharest fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Arsenal Bucharest's Costin Pandele got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cazimir Bobailă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dorel Zorlescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Costin Pandele had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorel Zorlescu. Vezendiu AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costin Pandele was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Costin Pandele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Zorlescu having to interfere. Dorel Zorlescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Bobailă in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costin Pandele in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorel Zorlescu saved Vezendiu AFC from getting behind. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vezendiu AFC's goalkeeper Dorel Zorlescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Costin Pandele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dorel Zorlescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38th play minutes Costin Pandele shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Dorel Zorlescu and just under the crossbar into goal. Aristide Petrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kalju Ääremaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vezendiu AFC booed when Arsenal Bucharest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Muncelean didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Costin Pandele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Arsenal Bucharest were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgil Cîrțu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Vezendiu AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filip Gaiță. Dorel Zorlescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lucian Mortu. Filip Gaiță kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Costin Pandele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorel Zorlescu was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Gabriel Itoafă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Zorlescu having to interfere. Costin Pandele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Gabriel Itoafă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorel Zorlescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 79th minute, Răzvan Zbereanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenal Bucharest's Kalju Ääremaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Cîrțu in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Vezendiu AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Itoafă came free, but Dorel Zorlescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorel Zorlescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cazimir Bobailă in the 87th minute. When the final whistle sounded Arsenal Bucharest left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vezendiu AFC.
