The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Soimul Zaharesti booed when Brigada 01083 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Furdui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicodim Merișor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Stolniceanu having to interfere. A collision led to Brigada 01083 getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Eusebiu Acalinei hit a great ball. David Nițulescu's late challenge caught a Soimul Zaharesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Nițulescu helped the player get up and apologised. 17 minutes into the game, Valer Stana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Toader Pociu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dragoş Stolniceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicodim Merișor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brigada 01083's Eusebiu Obregia got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Eugen Finteșteanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soimul Zaharesti's Toader Pociu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eugen Finteșteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When David Miroiu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soimul Zaharesti's protests and gave David Miroiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Soimul Zaharesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Miroiu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Soimul Zaharesti's Ilie Hizo got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Brigada 01083's Manuel Frumuzache broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dragoş Stolniceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Trifan in the 43rd minute of play. Dragoş Stolniceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlad Iftode in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Eugen Trifan made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Ion Săceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soimul Zaharesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brigada 01083 the free kick. Eugen Trifan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugen Trifan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Dragoş Stolniceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Merișor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Dragoş Stolniceanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Eugen Trifan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Eugen Trifan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Brigada 01083's Dragoş Stolniceanu. Dragoş Stolniceanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicodim Merișor struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Dragoş Stolniceanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soimul Zaharesti. In the 90th match minute, Soimul Zaharesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Iftode to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Finteșteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Eugen Trifan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Soimul Zaharesti's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Finteșteanu came free, but Toader Pociu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Soimul Zaharesti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soimul Zaharesti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
